JD Meints has been on the entrepreneurial side of the business world for as long as he can remember. Coming of age in a family of entrepreneurs led him to an obvious choice in higher education. JD received his B.S. in Finance from San Diego State University. He has been CEO and founder of more companies than most people have a chance to work for in their lives. JD eventually got caught on the slippery slope of alcohol addiction. However, JD’s alcoholic coping mechanism led to something truly beautiful. After decades of fighting his addiction, he finally emerged from the battle as the victor. With his newfound freedom through sobriety and knowing how hard the journey to that point truly is, JD founded the nationally accredited NuLife Treatment Center Network in 2013 and became its CEO. NuLife was an in network provider of substance & mental health treatment servicing all levels of care.
In 2017 JD led NuLife to become one of the first programs in the country to offer a complete virtual program for PHP, IOP & OP treatment services which led him to his next venture NuLife Virtual in 2020 with the mission to positively impact 1 million lives through a proprietary person-centered, tech-assisted, mobile addiction treatment, and
recovery platform.
JD also founded HARP, Inc. (The Hope & Recovery Place or the HARP Foundation) a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping musicians overcome drug addiction and related mental health issues. But it is JD’s vision of positively impacting 1,000,000 lives affected by alcoholism & addiction that gives him the passion to drive change in the world by proving your greatest weakness, in his case Alcoholism can be your greatest strength that keeps him going.
